Elected to the Lok Sabha from Dhar
Returned from the Dhar constituency, reserved for Scheduled Tribes, in the 2014 general election. She took office on 16 May 2014, succeeding Shri Gajendra Singh Rajukhedi. The seat changed hands from the Indian National Congress to the Bharatiya Janata Party at this election.
558,387 votes (51.84%) against 454,059 (42.16%) for the runner-up. Margin: 104,328.
